negative/poitive why??

1. On the negative the building is a much lighter than the positive. the shades are dark when they are suppose to be lighter. on the positive, objects are all reversed compared to the original negative.
Noting an image in which the brightness values of the subject are reproduced so that the lightest areas are shown as the darkest.
colors and luminance's are reversed due to the chemical process involved in recording the picture.
Stuff to do with water glass & air & how air bends from the indence of angle into the water or glass.
